Investment in India

Foreign Direct Investment is the main medium for investment of overseas destinations in India. The availability of cheap software professionals is only part of the reason why companies are investing in India. As India, helped by its booming economy, has become an attractive market in its own right, many multinationals are looking to take advantage of its vast potential market for growth. Investments from global companies aside, the export-oriented domestic IT industry is growing at a phenomenal rate, as more and more American and European corporations are outsourcing their business activities to India.

Fueled by external demand, India’s IT exports are expected to reach more than 80 billion dollars in the modern times. Companies around the world are slashing their payrolls in the United States and Europe and tapping Indian IT professionals to do everything from coding simple software applications to developing enterprise-wide business solutions.

In addition to software development, India also has attained a dominant position in the business process outsourcing sector (BPO). This includes all centers, technical support services, and transaction processing for leading companies in banking, insurance, financial services, healthcare forms processing, and others.

Recession in the leading countries like USA and UK has led to numerous people to invest in India in several multinational companies and BPO companies. Investment in India has become a rage in the modern times mainly due to the recession in foreign markets. This is also being affected greatly by the uncertainty faced by share markets in the recent days.
