Facing an interview is a challenge. Agreed! But it is not even that difficult to earn employment if you are skilled and intelligent.
The first few moments of any interview are most critical as they help you in creating first impression in front of the interviewer. Reach to the interview on time, without fail. Punctuality is quite inevitable at interviews. Nervousness and anxiety at interview is an obvious trait exhibited by most interviewees but you should know how to refrain from giving into those feelings. Sit only when you are asked to do so. Sit confidently on the chair and stick to it without being too uncomfortable.
Don’t ever touch anything on the interviewer’s table. It doesn’t leave a very positive impression on his mind. Be well prepared to answer the interviewer’s questions. Do not try to imitate the interviewer. You can do this unknowingly when you are nervous. Do not give lengthy answers and long explanations to any questions. Be to the point and prefer short comprehensible answers in a fluent language. Make sure you don’t hesitate or fumble while speaking. This leaves a question on your self-confidence. Do not look very conscious and stressed. Rather, you should look oriented and focused.
You should try to stand out from the herd of interviewees and look the most eligible for the job. The interviewer should consider you very skilled and absolutely perfect for the job. Only then, you can change the interview into a job.
