Heat Exchangers

Heat exchangers are machines that permit a successful way of transferring heat from one area to another. Heat exchangers come in two principal types. They can be either water to water heat exchanger or water to air heat exchanger. Water to water heat exchangers have been the most used models namely the brazed plate heat exchanger. Air conditioners, stoves and refrigerators take into use these heat exchangers. Metals have variable resistance to water according to their structure and chemical properties. Salt, chlorinated water or acidic water deteriorates the metals more.

Nickel has been used on a large scale in heat exchangers so far. It is rust resistant and does not change its properties in salt or chlorinated water. Acidic water, however, may badly affect it. Copper has also been used in heat exchangers but it also has been relatively less resistant to chlorinated water, salt water or acidic water. Stainless steel is also used in certain heat exchangers.

Almost all brass heat exchangers are pretty much durable and of good quality. They are available at economical rates. The resistance of these metals to different types of water largely affects the working of these exchangers.

You can go through the reviews of different heat exchangers and check out the one according to your usage and requirement. Online stores provide you with all the necessary information regarding these machines. You can easily shop online through numerous websites and order the machine as per your need.
