Handmade carpets – Display Of Great Artwork

Carpets are always a part of art from the ancient times. They are among the oldest crafts in the world. The oldest known carpet is found at the 5th century BC and carpet weaving traced back to 7000 BC. If we go back to the origin of carpets we will find that Egypt was the first area in which carpet weaving was started. Then it spread in central Asia and other continents.

This art is still present in Iran, Afghanistan, turkey, Persia, china and Pakistan. They are a bit expensive than a carpet made by machines but their extra ordinary look and fine designs insist the buyers to pay any cost demanded.

The art of weaving carpets by hand is versatile, and valuable in every century. The demand of hand made carpets is more than the carpets made by machines. Central Asian countries are specifically making hand made carpets for export. These carpets are appreciated by the other regions as well as by the people in this region.
