B2B Portal- Have You Registered In Your Right Company Profile?

Business to Business (B2B) portal is looked upon as a breakthrough tool in the business world, so much so that all international traders have climbed on to the B2B bandwagon, besides using the conventional trading techniques. Despite its growing influence in the corporate world, companies have taken to concept very lightly and haven’t put in sufficient efforts in terms of presenting the right company profile and details. Important points one should take into consideration while signing up are as follows:

• Only register an e-mail id one habitually uses

• Choose the correct type of one’s business, i.e whether you are an Exporter or Importer

• Contact address should include phone numbers along with website address

• Contact person's name

• Company profile should be comprehensive and should endow added value to one's company and its business activities.

• Opt for a suitable sector - if one is into agri-business sector and have interest in various businesses as well, then one should go for a broader-based term i.e, agri-business as one's company's sector. But if one is operating in a specific sub-sector, one should select specific sector to generate maximum business inquires.

• Mention time-line for delivery of one's products or services.

• Mention least or highest acceptable amount of one's trade deal, according to the type of business

The profile can be updated as and when required. However, once you have registered your profile, one should constantly attempt to try and connect with other relevant businesses. But if one wishes to make communication beyond the B2B platform, one may be encouraged to be a premium member.

Free members have a limited access. And naturally most of the members desist from responding to free status members. Even after long-winding negotiations chances of striking a deal are rare.

In case of paid member, pro-active measures have to be taken to generate interest among the buyers in one’s products or services. Hence, one has to be always on their toes when it comes to doing business on B2Bs. If business men take the services of top B2B portals seriously and use in the right direction then businesses are sure to profit from this and it helps establish a long-term business relationship with their clients.
